Hello,



We are dealing with a bandwidth intensive download center, and we have thousands of requests and downloads everyday.
There are no problems with Apache, but in some geographical locations we have limited to no connection. That's why we have tried your Nginx product in order to see the difference.

First of all it's CPU consuming, we have almost 50% constant cpu usage.


After installing and modifying the Vhost & the Config, we had lower Cpu usage but the speeds were significantly lower than before, and downloads start with like 10 - 20 seconds delay. However everything was working perfect under port: 8888 with Apache, after a while we get 500 Internal Server error.
This is my 3rd time trying to make it work, but I have no luck in it.


This is a dedicated direct download file server, and we have no need for DB, text/html/css and Gzip.
All we have are media files: Mp3, MKV and stuff...
Please help me with this issue.

Is there any workaround? what should my vhost and config file be?

Hello Streamer , the nginx srever won't supposed  to use cpu  more than 1% . So there is something wrong with the  configuration .  The default configuration is suitable for shared hosting servers. But for very high traffic servers  it need to optimize things . Can you open a support request to tweak the nginx configuration from https://portal.sysvm.com/

I have contacted your support, and they have helped me with the configuration.

Now everything is working like a charm, the load is always below one, and the CPU usage is not even noticeable.
