Topic: Script fails at mplayer.tar.gz

I am receiving the following error during installation and the script stops:

Checked out external at revision 1226.

Checked out revision 33216.
No FFmpeg checkout, press enter to download one with git or CTRL+C to abort

./configure: line 53: git: command not found
Failed to get a FFmpeg checkout
Makefile:22: config.mak: No such file or directory
make: *** osdep/: Is a directory.  Stop.
Makefile:22: config.mak: No such file or directory
make: *** osdep/: Is a directory.  Stop.
cp: cannot create regular file `/usr/local/cpffmpeg/etc/mplayer/codecs.conf': No such file or directory
Installation of mplayer.tar.gz ....... Completed

Some suggestions found on other forums include switching the firewall off and installing git but these did not work for me.  I would be grateful for any suggestions.

Kind Regards,
Martyn

Re: Script fails at mplayer.tar.gz

The kernal.org server  are running some maintenance . So some of the packages were not able to download from the kernal mirror . You need to edit the script and  fix those download paths yourself
